Mark 16:15, "...Go ye into all the world..."
With the business of life, kids, and distance between us and living locations we have a unique avenue for joint studying of God's word: our online Bible study! This is not an archive of prerecorded lessons, but rather an opportunity to join through our free-to-you online classroom with others utilizing the communications tool Adobe Connect. Dive into God's word from your home, cafe, or portable internet capable tablet/iPhone wherever in the world that you may be. Connect, Study, Grow, Fellowship.
Online Bible Study Classroom Etiquette And Authority Structure: There is a 'hand raising' icon on the side of your screen. As more people enter into the classroom the teacher will begin to ask everyone to hit the hand raising icon and then teacher will call you out individually to speak in turn. If everyone speaks at once none can hear. The teacher has mute controls to help regulate the audio talking. You can type inputs in the chatroom column throughout the lesson all you want. We ask that you do not use vulgarity and please do not take God's name in vain-the Exodus 20:17 third commandment (e.g. Oh my G-O-D, etc.)- 1 Corinthians 6:20, "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." We know that taking God's name in vain is popular in today's cultures and movies. The teacher will regulate as needed and may even mute the entire class to finish up the lesson on time if needed. The type chat option though will always remain open to type in inputs. If you have any issues technical or with others in the groups you can directly email Pastor Mike through the online contact link or call him.
Below is a brief description to help troubleshoot any audio issues.
Some Simple Trouble Shooting the Audio Problems For The Adobe Connect Classroom:
Echo problem?: Adobe Connect is a very sound sensitive program. You need to use a headset with a microphone or at least earbuds to cancel out the echoing of the microphone picking up what you say through the speaker. Because this is a learning environment, if we can't fix the echoing problems in the beginning of the session then the teacher will have to mute your speaking ability so that you can chat only through typing. Afterwords you can chat with the teacher to help figure out the issues so you can use audio speaking.
No one can hear you?: There is an icon toward your bottom of the screen which adjust your audio level. Make sure you hit the Audio Connect button in this window. If you plug in an audio device after entering into the room you may have to sign out of the room then sign in again for that audio device to register in the classroom. Sometimes people use headphones or microphones that are too energy demanding for their tablet or iPhone. If so then, even when the last steps were followed, people still wouldn't be able to hear you until you get a set of earbuds or a headset designed for a tablet/iPhone.
